Taking dogs or other animals into the museum is not allowed, with the exception of an assitant dog ( SOHO dog) or blind guide dog, as long as they are on a leash. Would you like to bring a companion along on your museum visit because of your disability? That is possible at the Wereldmuseum. A Visitor's Ticket allows one companion to accompany you free of charge. When booking your ticket online, select “I have a valid ticket or discount voucher”. This allows your companion to enter. Buy a regular ticket for yourself. The museum has an elevator and a toilet for people with disabilities. At the entry of the museum there is also an elevator with which you can get in the museum. If you would like to be assisted with this then you can ask our cashiers.

Two parking spaces are available for disabled people at the main entrance. On presentation of your disability card, you can use these parking spaces free of charge. If you contact the museum by phone on the day of your visit, you can park your car in the museum grounds. Wereldmuseum Leiden is easily accessible for wheelchair users. There are no thresholds and the lift takes you to all floors. The museum also has some push wheelchairs available. Unfortunately, it is not possible to visit the museum with a mobility scooter.
