Hanuman’s hunger

Hanuman’s hunger

Did you find Hanuman in the display? Do you see his sharp teeth? You don’t have to be afraid! In the story below you can read what Hanuman would like to sink his teeth into.

As  a little baby Hanuman was always hungry. His mother used to give him anything she could find to eat, but never it was enough. One day Hanuman saw the sun rise. He looked up at the beautiful yellow ball and thought it was a juicy orange. As a demigod, Hanuman could do things a human being or a monkey could not do. For example: fly. So Hanuman decided to fly to the big, juicy orange and take a bite. Only… the sun didn’t stand still. Hanuman kept on flying and trying to get closer to it. On his way he met Indra. Indra is the god of rain, thunder and lightning. “What are you doing’’, Indra asked. And Hanuman said: “I’m on my way to that jammy jellow ball. I want to take a bite of it, because I am so hungry”. “But you cannot just do that’, Indra said and chased Hanuman away by throwing a lightning bolt at him. Hanuman was struck by the lightning bolt.

Hanuman’s father became so very, very angry and sad that he took away all the oxygen on earth. Without oxygen no one could survive, so Indra hastedly said that he was sorry. To please Hanuman’s father Indra made Hanuman recover from the lightning stuck and gave him superpowers. From that day on Hanuman became invincible, immortal and superstrong.
