We will for example be selling bags by Bilums & Bilas inspired by traditional Papua New Guinean knotwork. Craftswomen make the bags using local plant fibres and traditional knotting techniques. The company is thus able to provide stable jobs for the women, and help preserve and develop their traditions.
The museumshop sells original gifts for yourself or someone else
The selection has been adapted to tie in with the HEALING POWER exhibition. It includes, among other things, fragrant palo santo (sacred wood), jewellery, stones, and special fish-skin amulets made by artist Anatol Donkan from Siberia.
