Exclusive preview: Time for Papua

We hope to share this special opening with you.  The ticket for the VIP opening also grants access to the evening program.

Due to the limited number of available places, registration is no longer possible. The exclusive preview is fully booked.

Program

5.30 p.m. – Welcome and guided tour  
We will start with a guided tour by curator Wonu Veys and exhibition maker Maria Rey-Lamslag, who will take you through the stories and perspectives that are central to the exhibition.  
  
6:15 p.m. – Dinner in the Pavilion  
Wayne Modest will open the evening during dinner. This will be followed by a discussion about the urgency and relevance of Time for Papua with contributions from: 

• Raki Ap (Indigenous activist and spokesperson for the Free West Papua Campaign)  
• Rode Nawimbo (human rights activist from Papua)   
• Wayne Modest (director of content of the Wereldmuseum)  
• Wonu Veys (curator of Oceania at the Wereldmuseum.   

Together, they will address the question of why this exhibition is needed right now and what role it plays within a broader social and museum context.

7:15 p.m. – Joint departure  
We will depart together for the main programme of the evening, where Marieke van Bommel will officially open the programme
