Leaving a legacy

If you feel a special connection with the museum, consider including the Wereldmuseum in your will. Your support would help us continue offering a diverse and dynamic programme of exhibitions, educational activities, and public events to reach the widest possible audience. We also conduct research, look to expand our collection, and invest in its interpretation, accessibility, and relevance.

There are several ways to leave a legacy to the museum:

Testamentary Succession. You can designate the Wereldmuseum as your heir through testamentary succession, meaning that a portion of your estate would be allocated to the museum.
Bequest. You may choose to leave a specific gift to the museum, such as an object or a sum of money. This is known as a bequest.
Named Fund. If you would like to support a particular aspect of the Wereldmuseum’s work, such as education or research, you can establish a named fund. You can decide both the name and the purpose of the fund. A named fund can be created during your lifetime or through your will, with a minimum amount of € 50.000.
